Relationship: Brother
Appearance/Stats: Klingon-Trill hybrid male. Dark brown hair, brown eyes, 35, 6'7", solid.
Background: The middle sibling in the set of triplets Diziara and her brothers make up, he's the most violent, most Klingon and most troubled of the three. He is two minutes younger than his sister, and five minutes older than his brother.
After failing to find anywhere to go, or anything to do, after graduating from school, became sullen, difficult to handle, and problematic. At Diziara's suggestion, joined the Klingon Defense Force and soon found his calling. Once put into a setting where valiant deeds, combat skills, and honor are all more important than ones genetic make up, he was able to thrive where he'd failed in the private sector. He has shot up in rank over the years, and currently is Captain of a bird of prey which saw much honor during the Dominion War.
He is fairly traditional in his combat technique, and though skilled, often finds himself at the business end of his siblings' weaponry, due to their shared inclination towards improvisation and unconventional strategy. This detail has not negatively effected his promotion within the ranks of the Defense Force, as most Klingons share this failing, but don't usually notice because their sheer skill often out weighs that of most combatants they encounter in a fair fight.
Relationship: Brother
Appearance/Stats: Klingon-Trill hybrid male. Dark brown hair, brown eyes, 35, 6'7", solid.
Background: The youngest of the set of triplets Diziara and her brothers make up, seven minutes younger than his sister, five younger than his brother. As a result of being the youngest, is used to getting last pick of the bunch, settling for whatever comes his way, and generally being good at finding the silver lining of any rain cloud.
Kang is an engineer in the private sector, pretty darn good at it too. He likes to tinker with things, and has been responsible for some of the less legal toys his sister has in her weapons collection. He's also the source of a lot of her favorite tweaks on various flying machines. The infrequent times she's returned to Qo'noS, the two of then often have gone out to stir trouble and ended up with his tools out to modify this or that for the pure prank factor.
Of the three, he and Diziara have the strongest bond. She suspects this is simply because she's naturally inclined towards getting along with engineers, the natural allies of pilots. He thinks it's simply because she's easier to understand than their brother. Whatever it's attributed to, they clearly share that unnatural bond often developed between siblings who have shared a womb. That link to some degree exists between him and Kaith, and Kaith and Diziara, but it's nowhere near as strong.
He is married to a trill woman named Jelnazia, who is an artist. She paints and sculpts, and has a thriving career on Qo'noS. She and Kang met when she was having difficulty with some of her sculpting tools, and being the gentleman he is, he swooped in to save the day. Things just took off from there, and they got married in 2368. Unfortunately, Diziara had just gotten on academic probation before she was informed of the wedding date, and was unable to wrangle the leave needed to go to the wedding.
Relationship: Cousin
Appearance/Stats: Klingon female. Black hair, brown eyes, 43, 5'11", muscular but less curvaceous than is standard for a Klingon female.
Background: She's the daughter of Diziara's mother's oldest sister. Both of her parents are dead. Her mother died in 2355, her father died in 2354. She was one of the few people who openly welcomed Diziara when her family moved to Qo'noS. She's indirectly responsible for making Diziara aware that she was truly a pilot at heart, by arranging for Diziara to take a fly along with her friend Morth.
After Diziara's first boyfriend broke off their relationship, Mara was the one who swooped in and tried to make it all better by taking her away for a weekend of debauchery. They got matching tattoos on their upper right arms, a tribal style sun design, then picked up a pair of guys who were intended to be one night stands, but just couldn't help but wheedling their ways into the girls' lives. Mara and Korth were pretty closely attached by the end of the night, and got married only a little over a year later.
Since getting married, she and Korth started their own shipping company on Qo'noS, which is thriving. They have a son together.
Relationship: Best Friend, Lover
Appearance/Stats: Human male. Red hair, green eyes, 44, 6'3", muscular but not overbuilt.
Background: Literally a rebound gone right. They met after Diziara's first boyfriend broke things off because her mother "scared" him. Diziara's cousin Mara took her off for a weekend of forgetting about the ex, where the cousins picked up Toby and his Klingon friend, Korth. During an evening of blood wine, conversation comes up about Diziara's flight school and career plans. Korth and Toby were skeptical at first when she started inquiring into employment with the company they worked for, but after some awkward misunderstandings they agree to help her out. Wild sex ensued that evening, leaving Mara attached at the hip with Korth, and Diziara realizing that sex for the sport of it, with good communication, is an awesome thing. Oh, and Toby's a great sex partner too.
When he decided he needed to find himself, he suddenly split the quadrant with little notice. Diziara was rather frustrated over this fact, she was very clearly in lust, possibly a little in love and he just up and disappeared on her. It took him eight years to find himself again, and choose to return. By then she'd loved and lost hard with Travis, and ended up enrolled in Starfleet Academy. When he returned, they kind of picked up where they left off, as despite the wounded trust due to his splitting the quadrant, she was left with an opening to fill having no one with which she was really close anymore. Between his disappearing act, and the emotional state she was still in after the loss of Travis, what could have developed into a torrid romance ended up instead as a deep friendship.
This friendship is such that either would drop everything for the other, should the need ever arise. People looking in on the friendship would assume they'd found their life partners, but Diziara can't see Toby as a husband. If she were to say the word, he'd probably happily go there, but both are comfortable in knowing they have each others friendship.
Relationship: Coworker, Lover, Fiancee
Appearance/Stats: Human male. Dirty blond hair, blue eyes, 6'5", slim. Deceased at age 24 in June 2365.
Background: Diziara first met Travis when she was in the process of being wooed by her then soon to be employer. She'd been sent on a fly along of a typical shipping run, accompanied by Toby, and met Travis where she pegged him as a sexy stupid jackass. Their interactions were horrible at best, and she was especially frustrated because she hated his ego and attitude, but she found him very attractive. Half a year later, she was employed by the company, and placed on a crew with this sexy stupid jackass.
When his long distance girlfriend back at home turned out to be a two timing bitch, Diziara ended up being the shoulder he all but cried on. Up until that point, she'd been sport fucking partners with their third crewmate, an Andorian who answered to the name Blue, but seeing what the two didn't, Blue elected to step aside and let Travis pursue Diziara.
Despite his combat ineptitude, he was delightfully violent and forceful in bed. He also was well adjusted and comfortable around Klingons, their culture and their food. He got along better with her mother than she did, took his lumps with good humor when her brothers cornered him to spar, and was an all around good guy once she saw past his ego and got to know him.
He died in a bar fight, not too long before the date scheduled for their wedding. Diziara actually blacked out on much of what happened between when she found him dead, and about a year and a half into her time at Starfleet Academy. She does know that she and Blue both quit the company they worked for, and that Travis' family adopted her in all but legality.
Diziara has posthumorously described their relationship like a shooting star, entirely too short but amazing to behold. Since his death, she's had a hard time talking about him, or anything surrounding his death. Despite a decade and a half, she's still having a hard time moving on.
Relationship: Former coworker, Friend, Lover
Appearance/Stats: Andorian thaan. White hair, gray eyes, 42, 5'10", lean and muscular.
Background: When Diziara was put on a crew with Blue, she wasn't sure what to make of him. She'd never met an Andorian before, and he seemed a pretty private person. Meanwhile, she was getting very frustrated over how horny Travis was making her, and had no vent for these frustrations as at the time he seemed a right big jackass. One day she's masturbating like crazy, and in walks Blue. One moment was all he needed to take in the scene laid out before him, before he offered his assistance to the problem. From there, the two became good friends and grade A sport fucking partners. Even after Blue stepped aside to allow Travis to pursue Diziara, Diziara and Blue remained close friends.
When Blue asked Diziara and Travis to accompany him home for his shi's bonding, it came out that Blue wasn't looking to have children, despite his people's cultural standard to reproduce as early and often as possible. He was reluctant to admit this, and it took much alcohol to get it out of him, but Diziara and Travis stood by their friend. He probably wouldn't have even bothered going home, except his shi was his only family member he was on good terms with, and he didn't want to disappoint her by not showing up for this important day in her life. While there, gossip and jokes were spread that Blue was going to bond with Travis and Diziara, they just needed another to fill out the quad. While Diziara and Blue were amused by this rumor, even said they wouldn't actually need a fourth if such a mixed bond was desired, it was decided that they wouldn't trouble Travis with it because they didn't think he'd be amused.
When Travis died, Blue suddenly had a change of heart about his choice not to contribute to the whole. He headed back to Andor, found a bond of people who were likewise mostly in it for the reproduction, and spit out three children, a thaan and two shen. He's on good terms with his ch'te, and okay terms with his sh'za, but his zh'yi pretty much went off to do her own thing once she'd passed the end of her fertility window.
People of note: Shieshanna sh'Zhaath (shi, answers to Shanna), Thalitana zh'Zhaath (zhi, answers to Litana), Anishrelas ch'Talath (ch'te, answers to Shrelas), Shaasarith sh'Lechas (sh'za, answers to Sarith), Chanizletha zh'Zhess (zh'ya, answers to Zletha).
Relationship: Classmate at the academy, Spurned lover, Friend
Appearance/Stats: Human male. Brown hair, brown eyes, 33, 5'11", athletic.
Background: When Diziara woke up from her year and a half of blackout after Travis' death, she found herself in Starfleet Academy, with Jack in hot romantic pursuit. He's a fleet brat, his father being the in the customs branch of Starfleet security. He's pretty much a walking stereotype of the sort of people who fill up the fleet, right down to the geeky fashion sense mixed with the athletic build needed for any semi-military officer.
Jack is spoiled by his father, in that he receives some of the seized goods that his father has to dispose of once they've been processed. He has learning disabilities, for which he hasn't found any medications his body responds to, and only made it through middle school, high school, and the Academy due to the help of friends like Corey and Diziara tutoring him. Despite this, he was a member of Red Squad, something that drove Diziara absolutely insane since her grades were better than his, she only wasn't included because she didn't present the sort of personality they felt was right.
Jack's pursuit of Diziara was problematic at best. From time to time, he'd demonstrate some trait she found interesting or attractive, but usually would follow up with something that either pissed her off or turned her off so hard it practically caused whiplash. They had sex once, in the cockpit of the velociraptor class fighter craft prototype that Admiral Shun had brought to the Academy for Red Squad to try out. This turned out poorly, as while he started things off right, he failed miserably at the parts that really made all the difference to Diziara. Where before this, she'd been respectful and open minded about his interest in her, she turned to being as blunt and cold about spurning his advances as she could, from there on out. While it created no end of awkward between her, Jack and their friend Corey, Jack still continued to attempt to woo her.
Even though Diziara hadn't made much of an effort to keep in touch with Jack, Jack keeps popping up in the places she least expects. She often finds herself in the position of spending time with him and his awkward advances.
Relationship: Classmate at the academy, Partner in Crime, Friend
Appearance/Stats: Human male. Strawberry blond hair, blue eyes, 33, 5'8", average.
Background: Corey probably should have been an engineer. Instead he pursued flying along side his best friend Jack. He did minor in engineering at starfleet academy, almost decided to double major but decided the time spent doing that would cut into his pursuit of booze and sex. Speaking of sex, Diziara wanted to have it with him. He seemed a good sport fucking partner, unfortunately he was too good of a friend to Jack, and refused to cross that line in the name of maintaining his friendship and not hurting his best friend.
Even with the lack of sex between them, there was a lot of flirting, and plenty of nights of drunken debauchery between the two of them. After graduation, Diziara and Corey kept in touch even though they didn't see each other. When she ended up stationed on 668, she and Corey fell out of contact for a while due to the fleet trying its best to pretend 668 doesn't exist, and blocking it on fleet ship comm systems. They were reunited via Jack when Diziara was picked up by the Monitor from the away mission on Andor.
Corey is omnisexual, gender and species doesn't factor into what he finds attractive. He has a serious crush on Spiegel, on account of the combination of dorky hotness he has going and engineering crack genius. He also has a bit of a crush on Jack, but has done nothing about it despite their years of friendship because Jack is very certainly straight and very much unteachable in the arts of sexual aptitude.
