Character Cheat Sheet for USS Takeda Shingen

Diziara

Diziara

BBS Handle: DeathKitten4268

Nicknames: Death Kitten is her call sign. She will also answer to Dizi or Diz. Occasionally gets called "red", but doesn't care for it much.

Appearance/Stats: Klingon-Trill hybrid female. Red hair, blue-green eyes, 35, 6'0", lean, well defined muscles.

Department/Rank: Helm/Flight Control, Lieutenant junior grade.

Background: Her father is missing in action with Starfleet since before Diziara was born. Diziara never intended to join Starfleet, but when she came out of the depression induced haze after the death of her one true love, she found herself halfway through her second year at Starfleet Academy. She has little to no respect for upper brass, but she hasn't resigned because it keeps her flying. Between a combination of shit house luck and kick ass skills, Starfleet Brass still hasn't been able to justify drumming her out, even though she has shown herself to not be shy about expressing her opinions in the form of a painful right cross (just ask Admiral Owen Paris).

Outside of flying, her main hobbies include sex, alcohol and fighting, sometimes more than one at a time. She's good at programming the holodeck, and has a wide selection of custom programs in her personal collection. She has dabbled in unsavory pastimes including running under the table gambling operations, and selling porn.

About the only things she values are those she considers family. Her cat, her closest friends, and occasionally even her blood kin, all qualify for this particular distinction. She will never do anything she isn't willing to take the consequences for, but if she feels that the consequences are unjust, she will do everything in her power to seek vengeance.

Her mother and youngest brother, Kang (younger by 7 minutes) live on Qo'noS. Her other brother, Kaith (younger by 2 minutes), is currently serving in the Klingon military. Her cousin Mara, and her husband Korth, have one son and also live on Qo'noS, they run a shipping company. Her best friend, Tobias, lives on Earth, and while occasionally neglectful, if Diziara called for him about anything important, he would be there for her as fast as humanly possible. She would do the same for him.

She usually has her d'k tahg hidden somewhere on her person, or tucked into the side of her bed when she's there. She also has training and experience with any number of weapons, and years of bar fight experience has fostered a creative knack for turning other inanimate objects into weapons.

She is a very private person. If it is not on the topic of sex, booze or flying, she will not talk about it unless she trusts you explicitly. On the topics of sex, booze and flying, she will tell you anything and everything you want to know if she herself knows it. Combat related subjects are unusual. If you have shown her that you are adept at combat, she'll be as open about the topic as she is with the sex, booze and flying, but if she considers you inept, she will avoid the topic as much as she avoids almost every other topic.

Lucas Spiegel

Lucas Gabriel Spiegel

BBS Handle: SpaceCowboy2071

Nicknames: Usually answers to his last name, and occasionally will not respond if he's addressed by his first name. Also occasionally gets called grease monkey by Diziara.

Appearance/Stats: Human male. Black hair, brown eyes, 32, 5'10", average build.

Department/Rank: Engineering, ops, Lieutenant junior grade.

Background: Spiegel was raised Catholic, but considers religion to mostly be bunk, except for Saint Vidicon who is often recipient of prayers relating to whatever project is currently on Spiegel's plate. When he found out that his birthday, February 29th, was also Saint Vidicon's feast day, Spiegel considered his fate sealed and dedicated his life to engineering and technology.

He has an appreciation for many types of alcohol, and will often spend his leave seeking out new vintages, breweries, and types of alcohol to add to his great collection. His quarters are littered with a sample bottle of each type of alcohol he's tried, but he's long since given up trying to put together a reasonable display given the sheer number of bottles he's collected over the years.

Despite being an officer himself, he usually finds officers boring and egotistical, treating the noncoms with nowhere near the right amount of respect. When he's not busy breaking some system in the name of improving it, he'll be seeking out parties on the lower decks, thanking the noncoms for their service by bringing the best alcohol he has to offer to these parties. He's also a terrible flirt.

He is currently gathering beta readers for his guide book, "Terran Metaphors for the Cosmic Traveler". He has given a rough draft to Therav, but suspects he might not get feedback from him on it.

He was in a rough marriage for a short while, but the divorce made the marriage feel like a cake walk. Thankfully there were no kids involved to make it any worse.

He doesn't actually fancy himself a poet, but he's been known to jot down random prose on broken parts in grease pencil from time to time. Usually after doing this, the subject of his poem receives the broken part as a memento. He never signs the prose, so unless he actually hands you the results of his unexpected shock of non-engineering creativity, you're not likely to know where it came from.

Grace Bright

Grace Lynn Bright

BBS Handle: JrMissToughChic57

Nicknames: Her call sign is Pip.

Appearance/Stats: Human female. Dirty blond hair, light green eyes, 23, 5'5", slight build.

Department/Rank: Helm/Flight Control, Ensign.

Background: Grace is Diziara's niece by "almost marriage", as Grace's family considers Diziara to be part of the family, even though Travis died before he and Diziara could get married. Grace considers Diziara to be her role model, and this is most of the reason why she joined Starfleet and became a pilot. She hasn't been in contact with Diziara for more than ten years, the last time they saw each other was Diziara's graduation from Starfleet Academy.

Grace has a younger sister named Andrea. Their father was enlisted in Starfleet, and lied to his daughters about what he actually did, and Grace has not talked to him since she graduated from the Acad and had found out the truth of his posting. Discovering her father's lies has caused Grace to be closer to her mother, as she has come to realize her mother really was the better parent.

Grace is interested in Klingon culture, and can speak the language almost fluently. She sporadically keeps contact with Diziara's youngest brother, Kang. He gave her a copy of Hamlet in the original Klingon as a birthday gift once. She's mostly interested in Klingon culture because of Diziara being half Klingon, which is ironic because Diziara doesn't like her Klingon half, even though it butts its head into her life like it or not.

The Takeda Shingen is her first posting. She typically spends a lot of her off-duty time with her friends from the Academy who were also posted to the Shingen: Kizel Eyn, Boq, Shelly White and Toza Zyrah.

Adrijana Milosevic

Adrijana Milosevic

BBS Handle: TheLunarGypsy642

Nicknames: Will answer to Jana (where the J is pronounced like a Y, as it is in Slavic languages).

Appearance/Stats: Human female. Brown hair, blue eyes, late 30s, curvaceous and healthy, 5'6".

Department/Rank: Science, stellar cartography, specialist second class.

Background: Adrijana is Serbian. She speaks a dozen languages fluently, only two of which originate on Earth, and is either learning or has attempted to learn countless others. She has a fetish for public sex. She's best friends with Noelle Connor. She's a horrible gossip, and maintains a vast gossip network across the ship.

She was married once, for three days on Risa, but the marriage was annulled when she and her three day husband both sobered up. She hasn't told anyone about the three day marriage yet, as she's quite embarrassed about it.

She enjoys the 20th/21st century author Neal Stephenson. She also considers his later books to be great self defense weapons in hardbound form, as they're typically long heavy beasts.

She loves to throw pottery and sculpt in clay but she doesn't consider herself to be very good at it. Her ceramic artwork leans towards the abstract, and favors bright colors. Her quarters are decorated with her favorite pieces, and her friends and family all have at least one piece she feels best represents them as a person.
