I graduated from the first year of courses, and now I've got a vacation to fill for ten weeks before second year starts. It looks like I'll have most of the same classmates, but some didn't pass the exit exam. Jarzen was one of those who didn't pass, so I won't have to deal with him in class anymore.

Since he broke up with me, he'd go out of his way to make me miserable. I ignored it, because as long as he didn't throw a punch it was nothing compared to what I'd encountered in school back on Qo'noS. It'll be none the less easier to concentrate on class if he's not harassing me. With the way he was acting, one would think I'd done something to hurt him and that I'd been the one to break it off.

Mara and Korth seem to be serious, and it seems that whenever they have time off, Korth goes and finds Mara, and they're always exchanging subspace messages and such. The one time I asked Mara about it, she seemed to have gone glossy eyed, and I couldn't get much out of her.

Toby and I talk from time to time, I've been hitting Toby up for as much information about the shipping business as I can, specifically with the company he works for. I've also talked to his boss and expressed interest in getting hired. They had me run through their evaluations and have since then been expressing interest in hiring me as soon as I graduate next year. I won't sign anything yet, in case something else comes up, but most likely I'll take their offer. Toby is still trying to convince me to “get a safer job”, but I've pretty much got my mind made up.

We decided to get together for a couple weeks before I go home to Qo'noS for the rest of my vacation. He wants to give me a birthday present, and I persuaded his company to let me come along on a run so I can see what I'm in for. He's nervous about this, but he knows he won't talk me out of it.
